Coating EP 290 – Solvent Free

The EP 290 is a coating based on epoxy resin.
It has a glossy finish and excellent flow, allowing for an even layer to be applied.
The coating has high hardness, making it suitable for use as a final top layer.

The coating is also suitable as a wear-resistant layer when applied with anti-slip powder for epoxy coatings.

How to mix:

Open the can and add the B component to the A component.
Mix thoroughly for 2 minutes before pouring the mixture into new separate application bucket.
Mix again to ensure everything is fully blended.

The product can be applied over an existing coating.
It is always recommended to first prime the floor with an Epoxy Primer  (Primer EP110) before applying the coating. Make sure the floor is completely dust-free before application to ensure optimal adhesion and finish.

Apply the product with a nylon roller, working in a criss-cross pattern.
For larger floors, first apply with a 25 cm roller and then back-roll with a 50 cm roller.
This helps to prevent roller marks or other uneven spots on the surface.

For an anti-slip finish:
Add 10% Anti-Slip Powder for epoxy coatings (based on the total A+B mixture) during mixing.
After mixing, first spread the coating with a trowel to prevent the sand from sinking.
Then, back-roll the surface with a nylon roller.

Basic Floor Preparation – EP290

1. Grind the floor – Removes contaminants and ensures strong adhesion.

2. Clean & dust-free – Avoid water to prevent poor bonding.

3. Inspect & repair – Fill any cracks or holes before moving on.

4. Apply primer –Heavy-duty: EP110 (solvent-free).

5. Recheck repairs – Fix any remaining defects and clean again.

6. Optional: Scratch Layer EP160 – Levels uneven areas for a smoother base.

7. Coating – EP290 – Solvent-free, glossy, high-hardness finish ideal for warehouses, workshops, and heavy-traffic floors.
