Thick Layers Epoxy Casting Resin from Pourpoxy
Thick layers epoxy casting resin hardens through a chemical bond. This happens by mixing the B-component with the A-component.
The casting resin is intended for transparent castings up to 5 cm regardless of the size of the surface. Therefore, it is suitable for making table tops and River tables, but also for filling molds or encapsulating a tree trunk table.
This layer protects and gives a beautiful glass-like appearance. With a thick layer epoxy casting resin, you can turn your old and worn table into a work of art again. Our Thick Layer Casting Resin is easy to use. The product is supplied in 2 parts. 1 part A-component Epoxy and 1 part B-component hardener. These parts must be mixed together before casting your project.
The Mixing ratio by weight of this product is 100 Parts A : 60 Parts B
You should cast your project in a dry and clean location with a minimum processing temperature of 15 degrees and a maximum of 25 degrees.
The use of mixing spatulas as opposed to an electric mixer is recommended to ensure that the product remains air-free. This ensures that there are fewer air bubbles in your product. During casting, you will experience air bubbles rising to the surface. You can easily make these disappear by using a gas torch over them. You can also choose a safer method by using the bubble pop spray from pourpoxy. This way, you don’t need a torch and you won’t overheat the epoxy! Spray the contents of the bubble pop spray over the surface and you will see the bubbles disappear. Do this about 2 to 3 times.
